Good evening Grizzlies,
This is principals Cypher with an important message regarding State testing. Grizzlies state testing or better known as CAASP, is upon us with our Junior beginning their English Language Arts test tomorrow. These test are important for our students as it demonstrates their mastery of the subject matter and qualifies many of our bilingual students with the Seal of Biliteracy for their high school diploma. These test will be conducted over the next couple of weeks beginning with our Juniors testing for English Language arts and Mathematics and concluding with our seniors demonstrating their master of science. Our bell schedule will be modified for the next two weeks but school will begin and end the regularly scheduled times.
So Grizzlies get some good rest and come ready to kick some CAASP tomorrow!

Good Evening Grizzly Families,
On February 28th, Governor Newsom announced that due to declining COVID-19 case rates and decreased hospitalizations, the state will adopt new k-12 indoor mask policies, allowing for personal mask choice. In particular, the state will move from requiring students to wear masks indoors to “strongly recommending” that students wear masks indoors.
The new policy will take effect Monday, March 14, 2022.
Los Osos High School and the Chaffey Joint Union High School District supports this new direction and respects the masking decisions of each of our students, staff, and families as we transition from state-required masking indoors at school. Masks will continue to be available upon request. The health and safety of our students, staff, and families remains our priority. We thank our Grizzly community for your continued partnership, and will provide updates if there are any new developments or information.

Good Morning Grizzlies Families,
This is principal Cypher with a reminder Friday, March 4th, School we begin at 10:30 instead of 9:30. School will begin 1 hour later than our normal start time due to professional development being conducted by our staff. The office will be closed from 8:30 to 10:30 to allow all staff members to participate. Classes will be in session beginning at 10:30 and concluding as normal at 3:20.
